Looking forward to a good start, from the warm up of the Cobham festival a few weeks before.
They were up against Effingham and Leatherhead in their first pool match. Team talk from Tim and Richard - Miles and Jack were on first for a six minute burst on power in the pack. The game started with Camberle – playing well rising to the challenge – good work all round –passing, tackling, rucking and mauling. Half time Camberley 3 -1 up. Change Daniel and Charlie now on. Again Camberley played very well. Final score Camberley Won 4- 2 (tries from Blake, Fraser and William x 2).

Camberley to start - Miles good run forward into the Drifters half, tackle and passed to Jack. Camberley passing well along line. Ruck – Miles pushing forward – ball picked up by Camberley pass to William darting run towards the wing – pass to George on the right –over for try.

Re start - Drifters start and into Camberley half, maul – both teams pushing. Drifters off side.
Penalty - Miles with the ball run forward and pass to Rupert. Camberley passing well. Tackle and scrum. Scrum to Drifters in their half. Drifters with ball – good tackle – maul – Camberley pushing - ball out to William a good run to George and over - TRY.

Drifters start –tackle Miles – Drifters dropped ball – picked up by Camberley. Blake with the ball good run pass to Max across the pitch – good quick passing – tackle and ruck out to Sam pushing forward near to Drifters line – through and over –Try.

Drifters start. Camberley at the 7 metre line ready (two feet). Run by Drifters good tackle by Miles and down – ruck – pushing by camberley – driving over. Now with possession Rupert with the pick up – out to Blake and quick pass to George - fantastic fast run to right wing - good tackle by drifters - Momentum with George over - TRY.

Start – Drifters – towards Camberley line, good tackle by Camberley - ball loose, picked up and pass to George, tackle by Drifters and out of side. Lineout to Drifters, in their half. Daniel collects ball – pass to Miles – passed to Sam – Try

Start – Drifter with the ball pushing into the Camberley half - tackle – maul both teams pushing -
Camberley pushing well – pushing Drifters backwards to half way line. Ball out - Max, over the half way into Drifters half. Tackle down and scrum to Drifters.
Well pushed again by Camberley - ball out, Rupert picks up good pass to Fraser – dropped. Scrum to Drifters – Good push by Camberley and won – Rupert with ball again pass to Fraser with a good darting run through – pass to Blake – tackle by drifters near to try line –pass out to William and DIVING over the line – Try.

Game over –Very well done – great rugby.

Camberley through to the Semi’s and draw against Cobham. It was al long day by now and the cold weather was starting to seep through. The players didn’t seem to have the sparkle of the morning session. All over to next time. Well done to the players and Coaches for all their efforts.
